LogMAIT™
LogMAIT® is a web-based integrated logistics support system developed by SPARTA to collect, archive, analyze, assess, and report key information for managing the operations and maintenance of complex systems and facilities. As a database tool, LogMAIT® accurately and comprehensively tracks assets through all life cycle phases. Its design is optimized to operate in today’s environments that require automated operational and logistics information such as, supply chain management, inventory management, parts tracking, maintenance activities, operational planning, work orders, and problem reporting. LogMAIT® is designed to respond to an organization’s supply chain management needs by providing a single system for total asset visibility through a relational database environment and offering Automated Identification Technology (AIT) and real-time position location linking functionality to include data transmission and data collection methodologies. Using AIT and a relational database directly reduces capacity, connectivity and processing requirements. This approach also reduces the overall workload while increasing data accuracy and validity. LogMAIT® is an established tool that manages and tracks the total logistics requirements and is completely scalable and configurable by the user.
LogMAIT® is a web-based database system that is accessible through a standard web browser, Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher. It consists of three main operating areas/modules: Assets, Administration, and Maintenance:
- The Asset area provides inventory management and the ability to track information for hardware, software, tools and test equipment, bulk/consumables/supply, facility items, and documents.
- The Administrative area contains requisitioning, vendor, contract, point-of-contact (POC), training, purchase order, and shipping/transportation information.
- The Maintenance area includes a problem reporting system, a work order system, repair information, preventive maintenance actions, test and calibration actions, and modification status.
Other functions available in LogMAIT® are Department of Army (DA)/Department of Defense (DD) Forms (DA 2407, DA 2404, DD 1149, DD 250, DA 1348-1, DA 1348-5, etc.), Ad Hoc reporting, bar coding, and operational readiness status. All operating and functional areas are connected to encompass the entire "integrated" logistics system. Each screen is linked to all other relevant screens. For example, the hardware screen displays the vendor for that asset. Double clicking on the vendor will display the vendor’s information and also all the assets that the vendor is responsible for supporting. The vendor screen also includes the point of contact (POC) for that vendor. Double clicking on the POC displays the POC screen and all the relevant information for that POC.
LogMAIT® is a web-based, open architecture application developed to utilize state of the art computer technology software. User permissions and security can be set throughout the tool as required. The web-based capability enables any user with an internet connection to view all of LogMAIT®'s data. Any user with the correct permissions may log into LogMAIT® and view the equipment information. LogMAIT® is a secured web site with 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security and can be implemented for multiple locations worldwide with one user site license. Because LogMAIT® is user permission based, several different types of permissions can be established.
